Designed and administered while at Johnston Architects, pllc: this house was a great exercise in siting a home on extremely difficult terrain coupled with the owners’ desires to make a strong statement of a lantern in the woods all while integrating seasonal runoff as a primary component of the site design. The main home is divided into 2 parts; the Enertainment Block, and the Sleeping Block connected with a bridge hovering over a seasonal runoff channel.
